Want to start living your life? Tired of being depressed? You'll be crazy if you say no. I always tell people that life is a beautiful thing; many of us just don't know how to appreciate it. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us, so we must live everyday as if it's our last. When people tell you that, take the advice.
1. Have Desire
You cannot live a great life, if you don't want to. There are so many good reasons to want a great life. When I say great, I mean
2. Change Negative Ways
Sometimes you have to change your ways for the better. If there is anything or anyone who is preventing you from living the life you want, boot it out your life. Nothing is easy, but its worth the pain.
3. Focus on Yourself
Take care of yourself first and then worry about those who need your help. There is nothing wrong with helping those in need, but you can't help others' if you can't even help yourself.
4. Believe You Deserve Better
By no way am I telling you to be cocky, but believe that you deserve a great life with great people and things in it. Self-esteem is the cure for so many of our problems and make us less vulnerable to them.
5. Think Positive
Change is not always positive, but necessary change is.
I am a Christian, but not very religious. Although I say that, I thank God everyday for blessing me with life, my family, great friends, success and the material that comes along with it. Without God there is no life, no success, no family, no happiness. Some may disagree, but my faith is between me, myself and I--just as yours is.
We all believe in something and for me its the bible. I use the christian values that my mother taught me to embrace a better life for myself. Use your faith not only to guide you through the bad times, but the good times. Remember the saying, "Don't forget where you came from?" It's the same with faith: believe in it throughout your life.
Usually I don't talk about faith but on Twitter (@KeandreCurry) someone mentioned Ash Wednesday. Honestly, what is it? Is it important to celebrate? I'm seriously clueless. About.com is not giving me the information that I need, so uhm any Ash Wednesday-ers out there?
Pun intended. LOL
When I turned on the TV Saturday, this amazing voice hit my ears. 20 seconds later, I read 'Whitney Houston dead at 48'. I was truly shocked and honestly, it seemed surreal. The last word I heard about Whitney was that she was undergoing drug treatment-- sometime last year. I didn't grow up listening to her, but she has so many great songs that I quickly became fond of her music.
I Will Always Love You is my favorite and have to list to it at least once I turn my radio or mp3 player on! It's a song that can relate to anyone-- soulmate or family-- that is important to you. That is why I love the song so much. I mean, I was really hoping that Whitney was going to be able to make a comeback but God has called for her. Honestly, I don't know much about her struggle with drugs, but there is more to Whitney than that.
We all have times in our life that we are most vulnerable and Whitney difantly went through a time that nearly stalled her outstanding career. No matter the drugs, Whitney was a role model to many. She is an icon, just like Michael Jackson. Anyone who can make the charts like she did, deserve the honor. I truly hope that Ms.Houston is place to rest in peace by the people who she loved, and those who love her. We will always love you!
The economy is improving in the United States under President Barack Obama, however the election this fall is more important than ever before. In 2008, we all said the same thing, but whoever you choose can either stall the growth of the economy or keep it growing. You can be a democrat, republican or independent but this election is about the people. The American people. Not just the wealthy Americans-- the poor too.
You would think that all candidates running for President would say those exact words or similar-- not Mitt Romney. Instead he says, "I' m not concerned about the very poor". Yeah, it's one of those WTF moments by the typical Romney. And no pun intended. Politics can be nasty and become personal at times, because the People aren't fighting against it. What you want done yourself, you have to do it yourself.
It's America, you have the liberty and freedom to decide who represent you in Washington and in the White House. Although your choice may not win, it's about exercising your freedom and building a future for your family and yourself-- A future for America. Get involved in politics and make a real difference in our great nation.
